Check Out Policy
Library cards are available to all residents of the Amargosa Valley Library District—this includes Crystal, Death Valley Junction, and Mercury—who are 5 years of age or older, as well as seasonal residents of the district and employees of the Amargosa Valley School.
Books and Audio Books
Loan Period: 3 weeks
Limit: 7 per card
DVD’s:
Loan Period: 1 week
Limit: 3 per card
(Note: “R” rated movies may be checked out by patrons over 17 years of age. PG-13 movies may not be checked out by anyone who is under 13 years of age.)
Magazines:
Loan Period: 1 week
Limit: 5 per card

Faxes:
The library can both accept and send faxes for patrons.
$0.50 cents per page to send
$0.10 cents per page to receive
Copying:
The library offers photocopying and printer copying from library computers.
$0.10 cents per page
Internet Services:
The library offers high-speed Internet access to the general public on a first-come, first-serve basis. There is a time limit of 30 minutes when older patrons are waiting. We also offer Wi-Fi Internet completely free—with an encrypted password.
Interlibrary Loan:
The Library participates in Interlibrary Loan with Nye County as well as Las Vegas-Clark County Libraries. If we do not own an item you are searching for we will try to obtain it from participating libraries.
